Dulles Transit Partners - Santa's Helpers!

In 2008, Dulles Transit Partners helped to make the season bright for many of our neighbors. As in years past, our employees rallied together to purchase gifts to fill the wish list of a family receiving help from the Carpenters Shelter, an organization who helps homeless children, families and adults stabilize their lives, overcome homelessness, and become contributing members of their community.

The family we sponsored this year includes Asjha, Age 3; Alawna, age 5; D’Metri, age 7; Justien, age 8; and Jacob, age 13.  We were able to purchase EVERY item on their wish list, and to purchase gift cards for their Mom for groceries, Wal Mart, and Bed, Bath and Beyond.  Our own elves Glenda, Jaylin, Courtney and Dana helped get all the presents together, and Glenda and Hattie and Jala played Santa, delivering all the gifts in time for Christmas.

The Bechtel Group Foundation also gave $1,000 to the Carpenters Shelter to assist in their operations.
